The place to try Kanmon Straits octopus!

A restaurant known among octopus connoisseurs throughout Japan, particularly for its takosashi (octopus sashimi). The owner, who also specializes in fugu (pufferfish) dishes, uses those licensed skills to thinly slice the octopus for sashimi, producing just the right texture, becoming more flavorful with every bite. Word-of-mouth promotion of this dish has spread throughout the country. There is also a wide selection of small seafood dishes from fish caught in the seas around Kitakyushu to accompany the sake served.
