Fugu and live fish dishes Sanko

Sake accompanied by the owner’s seafood cuisine

A kappo restaurant founded in 1965 and reopened in 2021, famous for its fugu cuisine. The owner goes to the Kitakyushu Central Wholesale Market every morning to purchase seafood—mostly caught wild locally. In addition to fugu, dishes are prepared from carefully chosen ingredients such as hamo (sea eel) from the Buzen Sea, kensaki ika (swordtip squid) from the Hibiki Sea, and locally caught Kanmon Straits octopus.
