An izakaya that serves mostly local Fukuoka seafood such as saba (mackerel) and kanpachi (amberjack). Guests always get the freshest fish, as the shop only sources what it can serve that day. Sometimes the owner, who used to work at a fishing gear company and who himself fishes, will sometimes use his own fresh-caught fish in dishes. The shop is in a converted old townhouse and offers both counter and table space, plus a private room upstairs. The shochu (distilled liquor) that guests can pour themselves is another popular service.
