Ginza Ten-ichi, Hakata branch
Masterful tempura using local and seasonal Kyushu ingredients
Ginza Ten-ichi is a restaurant with over 90 years’ history serving Edo-style tempura to influential figures and cultural icons across generations. Select ingredients from Kyushu and Tokyo’s Toyosu district are deep-fried into crisp, light tempura using the highest grade of sesame oil, elevating a simple dish into culinary art that resonates with all of the human senses. The Hakata branch has an eight-seat counter where the chef prepares the food in front of your eyes. The liquor selection, including white wine chosen by the sommelier of the Ginza restaurant, is also first-class.
