This restaurant serves Hakata udon noodles, which are soft—a specialty of Fukuoka. In the evening the shop becomes a bar offering a wide range of side dishes to go with alcohol. The most popular dish is curry udon, based on an original curry roux, but the restaurant also serves excellent seafood from the Genkai Sea. Fresh kanpachi (greater amberjack) with vegetables served in a steamer is a delicious combination of Fukuoka land and sea harvests.
