Excellent seafood direct from the Nagahama Fish Market, wonderfully prepared, featuring the grilled-in-leaf Hida specialty hoba-yaki and 30 types of sake. The sashimi platter (minimum order for two) features eight or nine varieties of fresh sashimi, such as Fukuoka-sourced anago (conger eel) and buri (yellowtail). Also recommended is the nigirizushi, creative hand-pressed sushi made with large slabs of fish. The restaurant is open until 3:00 a.m., so you can land here if you haven’t had enough to eat or drink.
