


A sushi restaurant operating in Ashiya for nearly 30 years. In the summer, the restaurant offers ipponyari (swordtip squid) purchased directly from local fishermen, as live sashimi. Its specialty is “Ashiyan-ika marugoto nigiri”, a whole squid made into hand-pressed nigiri sushi. All parts are used, from the squid fin to the legs, and the faintly translucent flesh is proof of its freshness.
