The restaurant serves “fishermen’s meals” and dishes using fish caught by Mr. Toku Tabata, who belongs to the Fukuma Fishermen’s Cooperative, prepared by his wife Naoko and two daughters. Between May and December, when special trawl nets are used to catch mainly madai, the red sea bream is served on rice over which green tea is poured (tai chazuke) or deep-fried in a burger (both shown above). Starting in early spring, cuttlefish caught in cages is served in set meals. (Closed January to February in the fishing off-season.)
