Kinnabe

A restaurant with direct roots in the early modern era

A Japanese-style ryotei restaurant with over 125 years of history. The main building, built in the Taisho period (1912-1926), has an esthetic that balances Japanese and Western 20th-century architecture, and the log-built front gate has been designated a tangible cultural property of Japan. Always the finest ingredients are used and served with attentive care in dishes such as gyunabe (beef hot pot) and uosuki (fish sukiyaki), made with fish from the rough waters of Genkai Sea, or fugu dishes, a winter staple.
