A hideaway in Nishi-Kokura with a narrow frontage like the entrance to a machiya townhouse in Kyoto. The restaurant is popular for its grilled chicken on skewers, prepared with just the right amount of salt. Octopus is the other menu item guests come to eat—the Kanmon Straits octopus purchased directly from local fishermen. Boiled perfectly from long experience, guests say they can’t eat octopus anywhere else!
