Feudal lord’s villa Ohana

An exquisite meal in a historical setting

Ohana was built as a villa of the Tachibana family, lords of the Yanagawa domain in Japan’s feudal period. The buildings that stand today were built in the early 20th century. While enjoying the historical atmosphere of the venue, guests can experience a variety of foods, including rare seafood from the Ariake Sea and bounty from the Chikugo River and Chikugo Plain. Besides the seasonal kaiseki course, an exceptional dish is unagi no seiro-mushi, grilled river eel over steamed, seasoned rice. Dining with a view of an exquisite Japanese garden is an unforgettable experience.
