Popular for its seafood as well as char-broiled tongue

A well-known restaurant for beef tongue that originated in Sendai and has expanded nationwide. Though the chain is known for meat, it also does seafood very well, purchasing fresh fish every morning. One specialty is kaisen-don, a bowl of rice topped with seafood (not for takeout). The ingredients vary with the season and availability, but only the best is used each day, such as Fukuoka-sourced madai (red sea bream), ishidai (striped beakfish), and kochi (flathead). In combination with tongue, the seafood is a delight.
