Futaba Sushi, Mitoma branch

Masaaki Shibata, the third-generation owner of Futaba Sushi Honten, established in 1939 in Nakasu, opened this sushi restaurant in 2005 in Mitoma, Higashi-ku, and runs it with his wife. With a community orientation, they use local fish such as those caught in fixed nets set up in the Shikanoshima area. The sushi materials are dipped in shoyu-based sauce Edomae (Tokyo) style, which takes more time but can be eaten without adding shoyu. Prices are reasonable while the taste is first-rate.
