A famous ryotei serving seasonal dishes of Fukuoka and Kyushu
A rectangular dining counter surrounds several fish tanks from which the chef pulls out live fish to prepare for guests. The seafood could not be fresher. The sashimi has a firm texture and superb flavor. Ishidai (striped beakfish) and squid prepared live (ikizukuri) and eaten raw are available year-round. Shirauo (whitebait) is available in the spring and ara (saw-edged perch) and fugu (pufferfish) are autumn/winter specialties to enjoy. Private rooms both small and large are available.
